Map Your Climb. See what each role involves, the credentials you need and where it can lead next.
Search for a role, or filter by sector and level. Open a role to see what the job is, the credentials you need, and the next steps up or across. Switch to the route map to see the climb as a ladder.
urROUTE is built by uREADY, part of the same family as UNIT8D. This edition covers the infrastructure roles we work in every day.
The full urROUTE, covering the whole construction sector, is at urroute.co.uk.
Each rung is a level (1 = entry, 8 = top; our own scale). Lines show the usual moves from the starting role. Select any role to open it.
Our view, built from the official schemes and industry experience. Years in a role are a typical estimate, not a guarantee; where no figure is published we use a default of about 3 years. Where a scheme owner has not confirmed how long a credential lasts, we show "Unknown". Last reviewed October 2026.
